3 Bangladeshi films to be screened at Nepal Int’l Film Festival

Three Bangladeshi short films “A Letter of Postmaster”, “Joy Bangla” and “Everything is Nothing” will be screened at “Nepal International Film Festival 2024”. The seventh edition of the festival will run from 14 to 19 March in Kathmandu.

This year, the festival features 88 films from 40 countries in six categories.

The film “A Letter of Postmaster” is directed by Supin Barman while Shaila Rahman Tithi has directed “Joy Bangla” and “Everything is Nothing” is directed by Arafat Mohsin. These films will be featured in the Shorts International category in the fest.

“A Letter of Postmaster” is an adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore’s renowned short story “Postmaster”. The film will be screened at 11:00am on the third day of the festival on 16 March.

“Joy Bangla” will be showcased on the fourth day of the festival on 17 March at 4:00pm. The cast of the film includes Tariq Anam Khan, Farzana Chumki and others.

The dialogue-less 21-minute-long “Everything is Nothing” will be screened on the festival’s closing day on 18 March at 1:30pm.

Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF) is Nepal’s premier annual film and cultural event. In 2018, NIFF was established to celebrate diverse storytelling and narratives worldwide.
