Dhallywood actress Shabana, popularly known as beauty queen, along with her husband film director Wahid Sadik, will produce a film by joint production with India two decades after leaving Dhallywood film industry.

The couple have been residing in US since the actress left film industry in 1997.

Improving Dhaka’s film, they are interested to return to Dhallywood to produce film in a joint venture.

Confirming the information, Wahid Sadik said ‘Due to improvement in country’s film industry, we have decided to make a film. Kolkata’s director Rajiv Kumar Biswas will direct the film.”

The story of the film will be family, action and romantic oriented, he said.

Shabana said “We are going to India on January 16 to select heroine for the movie. The shooting of the untitled film will be held in Bangladesh, India and USA.”

Replying a question whether Shabana will act in the movie, Wahid Sadik said “ No, she will not play in the movie. She will just produce the film.”

Establishing SS Production house in 1979, their first produced movie was ‘Matir Ghar’.

After Matir Ghar, with joint venture, they produced two dozen of films including Sutir Ghanta, Ami Sei Meye and Sami Keno Ashami.
