Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan has announced to provide a financial assistance of Tk 1.25 lakh to the family members of every deceased in Kasba train accident.

The Railways will provide Tk one lakh to each family from their part and remaining Tk 25,000 will be arranged by the District Administration.

Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan came up with the declaration while visiting the train accident spot on Tuesday morning.

At least 16 people were killed and more than 100 others injured as two intercity trains collided in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria on early Tuesday.
