Additional commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Monirul Islam on Monday said Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Abrar Fahad was beaten to death suspecting him an activist of Islami Chhatra Shibir.

The additional commissioner of DMP revealed this information in reply to a question of a journalist at DMP media centre on Monday.

Monirul Islam said, “Among the 19 accused in Abrar killing case, four people gave their confessional statement. Abrar Fahad was beaten dead suspecting a Shibir man as per the confessional statement.”

The investigation of Abrar killing will be done at the beginning of the November and detective police will submit the charge sheet in the same month, he added.
