Shawdesh Desk:
At least 58 people, including seven members of security forces, were killed in two days of violence at Hefazat-e-Islam’s rally at Shapla Chattar in the capital in 2013, claimed Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder.
He claimed this on a post in his verified Facebook page on Saturday.
In the post, he wrote, “When the whole world was confused about how many people were killed in the violence, I alongwith former BBC correspondent Mark Damet took this tough work. We had reached this decision that at least 58 individuals were killed in two days of violence. Among them, seven were security force members.”
