Two suspected Yaba smugglers died in a ‘gunfight’ with police at Shilkhali area of Baharchara union of Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar on Monday midnight.

The incident took place at 1:00 am.

Identities of the deceased could not be known yet.

The law enforcers recovered two locally-made guns, 5000 pieces of Yaba pills, and seven round cartridges from the incident spot.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf Police Station Pradip Kumar Das confirmed it while talking to journalist.
