HSC, equivalent exams results to be published on Feb 8

The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent examinations will be published on February 8.

The prime minister Sheikh Hasina gave her approval to publish the results on the day, said Dhaka Education Board chairman Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar.

Earlier proposals were sent to the prime minister to publish the results between February 7 and February 9, he added.

The HSC and equivalent examinations were held between November 6  and December 22 in 2022 in shortened time and syllabuses with the participation of around 12,03,407 examinees.

Usually the HSC and equivalent examinations start in the first week of April. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the examinations took place in November.

In 2020, Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations were held as usual while an auto pass was granted to the examinees of the Junior School Certificate and the Primary Education Completion, while HSC and equivalent examinees were awarded grade points using the subject-mapping method.

In 2021, the SSC examinations were held in November and the HSC exams in December.

In 2022, the SSC examinations were held in September.
