A fatal road accident has claimed the lives of three Bangladeshi expatriate students in Qatar.

The deceased were identified as Ahmed Safwan, 21, son of Iqbal Ahmed of Sylhet, Isran, 22, son of Nurul Islam of Chattogram and AzharulHaque Joy, 22, son of Fazlul Haque of Feni.

They used to live in Qatar with their families, Bangladeshi community sources said.

A car hit their vehicle from behind when they were repairing the punctured tyre of their car on Al Shamal road at 9:00pm on Saturday, leaving one of them dead on the spot and two others injured, it added.

The injured were taken to a nearby hospital where they also succumbed to their injuries.
