BNP leader Alal seeks apology withdrawing remarks on PM

BNP Joint Secretary General Moazzem Hossain Alal has sought apology to the countrymen for his remarks on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The BNP leader, who is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in India, also withdrew his indecent remark through a written statement on Tuesday with.

BNP Chairperson’s Media Wing Officer, Shairul Kabir Khan, confirmed the development to the media onTuesday, quoting Alal.

“I am undergoing treatment thousands of miles away from my beloved homeland, as I have undergone a severe surgery. So, my family is keeping me away from any negative news”, Alal said.

“However, I came to know late about one of my past statements causing a great deal of controversy,” Alal said.

The BNP leader further said, “In the long 49 years of my political career I have never disrespected anyone, or hurt anyone’s feelings or sentiment intentionally. But I am not above mistakes as a human. So I apologise to all those who have been hurt by my words. At the same time I am withdrawing the statement in question. May my beloved homeland remain well and peaceful,” his statement also added.
