The detained ASI was identified as Panjab Ali, who was posted at Kakonhat Police Investigation Centre under Godagari Upazila in the district.

On a tip-off, a BGB patrol party conducted a raid at Yusufpur Border Outpost area around 9:30 pm and arrested Panjab Ali with a bag containing 400 pieces of yaba, BGB sources here said this afternoon. 

A case was recorded against him under the Drugs Control Act with the police station.

He was produced before court and subsequently sent to jail, he added.
