Eight more people died of coronavirus or Covid-19 at corona unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning.

Dr Md Mohiuddin Khan Moon, focal person of hospital’s Covid-19 unit, confirmed the information today.

He said “A total of eight people died of Covid-19 at the hospital in the last 24 hours. Among the dead, one died of coronavirus while rest others died with Covid-19-like symptoms.”

The Covid-19 infected man are from Mymensingh. Of the seven others who died with Covid-19-like symptoms, three are from Mymensingh, two from Gazipur, one from Netrokona and Jamalpur respectively.

In the past 24 hours, 15 people were admitted to the hospital and 20 were discharged.
