The government has kept LPG prices the same for the third straight month in January, according to an announcement made by Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) Chairman Jalal Ahmed on Thursday.

The prices would be effective from 6pm Thursday, Jalal Ahmed said at a press briefing.

A 12-kg LPG cylinder will now cost Tk1,455, the same as in November and December.

The price of auto gas, used in small vehicles, has been reduced by Tk0.03 to Tk66.78 per litre. The prices have been adjusted with the Saudi official rates for the month of January.
