Covid-19: Bangladesh reports 40 more deaths, 2,576 new cases in last 24 hours

Shawdesh Desk: Forty more people died of coronavirus or Covid-19 in the country in the last 24 hours.

So far, the country saw 12,989 deaths. Besides, 2,576 people have newly been infected with the virus in the same period. As of Thursday, the total number of Covid-19 cases stood at 8,20,395.

A press release signed by additional director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed this information on Thursday afternoon.

The notification said some 2,061 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries now stands at 7,59,630.
