Police on Saturday afternoon arrested one over the incident of killing four villagers in an indiscriminate shooting incident in Khulna.

DB police nabbed Sheikh Jafrin Hasan from Bagharpara of Jashore at 5:00 pm.

At least four people were killed and several others sustained bullet injuries in a clash between two rival groups over establishing supremacy at Atra-Gilatala Eastern Gate in Mashiali area of Khulna city on Thursday night.

Around 8:30pm on Thursday, one group launched an attack at Jafrin and Sheikh Jakaria, according to sources from police and locals.

Following the incident, supporters of Jafrin initially got into a brawl with their rival group and armed members of these groups opened fire that led to the death of four.
