A youth with coronavirus symptoms died in Pirganj upazila of Rangpur early Friday.

The victim, 29, breathed his last at his residence in Khosti village under Alampur Union of the upazila early in the morning.

He returned to his village home from Narayangaj, where he was working in a private company, thirteen days ago.

Hasan Ali, a UP member of the union, said the youth was suffering from fever, cough and breathing problem for several days.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer TMA Momin said that samples of the deceased were sent to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital for corona test.
