Shawdesh Desk: A man and his son and a minor girl were killed in separate road accidents in Gaibandha and Rajshahi on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Mominul Islam, his son Mahin, residents of Palashbari upazila in Gaibandha; and Baishakhi, 9, daughter of Hasen Ali of Tarash village in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi.

Masudur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Palashbari Police Station, said Mominul and his son were returning home by a motorcycle at night when a speeding microbus hit them from behind around 8pm. They were killed on the spot.
Police recovered the bodies and sent them to hospital for autopsy, the OC said.

Kajol Kumar Nandi, in charge of Shibpur police outpost of Poba highway police, said Baishakhi died on the spot after a truck hit an autorickshaw she was travelling in around 1pm.

Two others were also injured in the accident.
