Fire at under-construction high rise building in Chattogram

A fire broke out at an under-construction multi-storey building in Agrabad area of the port city on Sunday afternoon.

Md Jasim Uddin, deputy director of Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defence, said the fire originated at the building owned by Pacific Group around 12:45pm.

On information, two firefighting units rushed in and they were working to bring the blaze under control, he said, adding that they were yet to know the reason behind it.
