Three young men were killed after their motorcycle hit a roadside electric pole in Debhata upazila of Satkhira on Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Mohiuddin alias Sajib Hossain, 26, son of Mafijur Karigar, Ashraful Islam, 25, son of late Arshad Ali, and Mamun Hossain, 17, son of Jahangir Hossain, all of them hailing from Pushpakatir area in the upazila.

The motorcycle carrying the victims lost control and hit the electric pole near SS Secondary High School at 9:30pm, leaving the trio dead on the spot, said Biplob Kumar Saha, officer-in-charge (OC) of Debhata Police Station.
