The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has ordered the owner of Sajan Paribahan to pay Tk 10 lakh compensation to the family of accident victim Rajib Hassan, who died after losing his hand in a road accident in Dhaka last year.

A four- member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the order on Sunday morning.

The wners of Sajan Paribahan have to pay the amount to Rajib’s two brothers within the next one month.

Government Titumir College student Rajib lost his hand between two racing buses in Dhaka on April 3 last year. He later succumbed to death from his injuries on April 17.
