Train communications from Kishoreganj to Mymensingh remained suspended as two bogies of a freight train derailed near Nilganj Mohinanda Bhadrapara area in sadar upazila of Kishoreganj on Saturday morning.

Abdur Rahman Biswas, in-charge of Kishoreganj Railway Police Station, said two bogies of a Jamalpur-bound freight train from Chattogram veered off the tracks around 5:30 am, halting train communications on the route, reports UNB.

On information a relief train from Mymensingh went to the spot and started working to resume train services on the route, he added.

Rail communications between Dhaka and Kishoregaj remains normal, he said.
