Pakistan says India’s missile attacks on six locations killed at least eight people and wounded more than 35, promising a robust response to the “act of war” from its neighbour.
The Indian army said, “Justice is served” in a post on X after the missiles were fired.
Tensions have been escalating between the two nuclear-armed countries since a deadly attack in Indian-administered Kashmir’s Pahalgam on 22 April which India blamed on Pakistan. Pakistan, however, has denied any involvement.
Pak military takes down 5 Indian jets, after at least eight killed in six Pakistani border areas, according to Pakistan ISPR.
