A student who sustained bullet injury on August 4 died while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Sunday morning.

The victim, Emon, 22, sustained bullet injury in Mirzapur area in Tangail.

Emon’s friend said that Emon injured in a clash between protesters and police in Gorai area under Mirzapur upazila in Tangail on August 4 and students admitted him at a private hospital in Uttara and he was shifted to DMCH on August 5.

He said that Emon completed his higher secondary from Bhurapur Moniruzzaman Khan College and trying to get admitted to another college for higher studies.

DMCH police outpost in-charge Bachchu Mia said that the body would be handed over to family after post-mortem examinations.
