Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued country-wide fresh heatwave alert message for the next 72 hours.

In the latest heat wave alert Meteorologist Md Bazlur Rashid said, “the prevailing heatwave over the country may continue during next 72 hours commencing Monday morning”, adding “the heatwave is likely to continue till Thursday morning.”

Due to increase moisture incursion, the discomfort may increase, said the message in details.

Rashid, also a deputy director of the BMD, said that the intensity of the heatwave although seems recede temporarily due to the cloudy sky, but the intensity of the heat wave will increase again from Tuesday.

Earlier, the BMD had issued 72 hours heatwave alert message in first phase on Friday.
