Jaya Ahsan’s debut web series ‘Jimmi’

Popular actor Jaya Ahsan works mostly in Bangladeshi and Indian Bengali films. The five times Bangladesh National Awards and three Filmfare Awards-winning artiste is all set to make her web series debut with “Mohanagar”famed director Ashfaque Nipun.

The title of the web series is “Jimmi”. Produced by “Frame per Second”, the series will be streamed on OTT platform hoichoi, said a press release.

hoichoi Bangladesh also released a promo video of “Jimmy” on their official Facebook page on Tuesday. Director Ashfaque Nipun and Jaya Ahsan were seen in the promo.

Sharing the promo on her social media, Jaya Ahsan wrote, “I can only say that Ashfaque Nipun is making…and the rest…is gradually coming to light!!”

According to the press releases, the story of “Jimmi” is that, a lower-level government employee has been stuck in the same position for 10 years without any promotion, leading to tension in her household. One day, the femme fatale discovers a large sum of money in a box in the office storeroom. This unexpected finding ignites her greed, and she becomes entangled in a web of temptation. Thus the story of the web series continues…

It may be mentioned that, hoichoi Bangladesh on Tuesday unveiled the names of six new web series “Rongila Kitab” directed by Anam Biswas, “Jimmi” by Ashfaque Nipun, “Golam Mamun” by Shihab Shaheen, “Rumi” by Vicky Zahed, “Bohemian Ghora” by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury and “Mitthyabadi” by Vicky Zahed, will be released in 2024 gradually on the OTT platform.

Country’s popular actors Pori Moni, Jaya Ahsan, Ziaul Faruq Apurba, Chanchal Chowdhury, Mosharraf Karim and Mehazabien Chowdhury will play lead roles in the six web series respectively.
