The police arrested a 55-year old man at his village home under Dhunat upazila in Bogura on charge of raping four neighbouring minor girls.

Arrested Jainal Abedin is a rickshaw-van puller while the reported victims are aged between 7 and 10.

Bogura additional superintendent of police Gaziur Rahman said that in interrogation, Jainal admitted that that he allured the victims on September 6 and September 8, took them to his house and raped them.

The police official said that they took the four victims to Dhunat upazila health complex where evidence of rape was found.

He said that they would produce the victims before the court for recording their statemnts.

Besides, he said, they would produce Jainal before court on Wednesday.
