BNP has announced a 3-day mass contact programme across the country from 26-28 December.

Party’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement at a virtual press briefing on Sunday.

He said that the BNP and its allies will observe the mass contact and distribution of leaflets programme simultaneously across the country for three days from December 26.

The opposition parties will observe the programmes in support of their call for non-cooperation movement and to boycott the upcoming general election slated for 7 January.

Rizvi on Sunday said over 215 leaders and activists of the party were arrested, seven cases were filed and over 645 leaders and activists were accused in the cases.

“The government is going to hold a dummy election in the country. It has already decided that who will win in the election,” he said.

The BNP leader also urged the country’s people to boycott the upcoming parliamentary election.
