Shawdesh Desk: A 19-member task force, headed by home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, was formed on Thursday to bring order back on roads and reduce accidents.
The task force was formed at the 27th meeting of National Road Safety Council held at the BRTA Bhaban in the capital that also approved the 111-recommendations on road safety.
The meeting was chaired by the road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader while home minister, railways minister Nurul Islam Sujan, former shipping minister Shajahan Khan, former state minister for LGRD Moshiur Rahman Ranga and inspector general of police Javed Patwary were also present.
Road transport and highways secretary Nazrul Islam said that they were currently evaluating a draft of rules for the Road Transport Act 2018.
