The ruling Awami League and its associate bodies are scheduled to bring out victory  processions in Dhaka as elsewhere across Bangladesh after the announcement of the schedule for 12th Parliamentary Polls.

‘We will bring out victory processions across the country after the announcement of election schedule,’ AL presidium member Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya told New Age in front of the party’s central office on Wednesday.

Asked about the opposition’s strengthening movement after announcement of the schedule, he said, ‘Awani League was on streets, is on streets and will be on streets in the coming days’.

AL Dhaka south city unit, Juba League south city unit and Bangladesh Awami Swechasebak League were found taken position in front the AL headquarters on Bangabandhu Avenue in Dhaka city.

Leaders and activists of AL were seen gathering on Bangabandhu Avenue with processions.

Adressing a rally on Bangabandhu Avenue, Bangladesh Awami Swechasebak League president Gazi Mesbaul Hossain Shachchu urged party leaders and activists to stay in front of the parry office for victory processions at 7:00pm.

‘Stern actions will be taken against those who will remain absent during the party’s critical situation, ‘ he warned.

AL continues to take to streets against the blockade of the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalsit Party and its allies as well as Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
