Local health authorities in the Gaza Strip confirmed that the explosion on Wednesday killed at least five Palestinians, while 25 others sustained injuries during the demonstrations along the disputed territory’s border, APA reports citing Teletrader.

Israeli Defense Forces denied involvement in the explosion, claiming that rioters placed an explosive device on the Gaza security fence with the intention of harming Israelis. However, this plan reportedly resulted in the device detonating prematurely.
