The Bangladesh Cricket Board is all set to incorporate the Decision Review System from the playoffs of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League, confirmed BCB president Nazmul Hasan.

‘Yes, we are going to incorporate DRS from the playoffs,’ Nazmul told reporters in Mirpur on Tuesday.

The playoffs of this BPL will be played from February 12 to 14, followed by the title decider on February 16 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.

Earlier, the BCB faced severe criticism as they failed to provide the technology during the league phase matches, making the competition more prone to errors and less attractive.

The BCB boss further clarified that, with the approaching Ireland series in mind, they wouldn’t issue a ‘No Objection Certificate’ for their players who got roped in by various franchises of the forthcoming Indian Premier League.

Bangladesh is scheduled to play a three-match ODI series, alongside the same number of T20Is and a Test against the touring Ireland at home starting on March 18 that would continue till April 8.

The next edition of IPL is scheduled to commence on April 1, where Kolkata Knight Riders have picked up Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Das, and Delhi Capitals have retained Mustafizur Rahman.
