IGP Benazir Ahmed went to the hospital to see comedian Abu Hena Roni and policeman Zillur Rahman, who were burnt in the gas balloon explosion. The police chief went to the Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute on Monday morning.

He told reporters, ‘I have spoken to Roni and Zillur Rahman. Their morale, mental strength is very strong. By the grace of God they are now much better than before.’

Appreciating the doctors of the burn unit, the IGP said, ‘Doctors are giving treatment to Roni and Zillur with their best efforts. They are very experienced.’

Last Friday afternoon, five people including Abu Hena Roni were burnt in a gas balloon explosion while attending the fourth foundation anniversary ceremony of Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP).
