The deceased were identified as Chief Majhi Abu Taleb, son of Abdur Rahim of C block of camp 15 and Majhi Syed Hossain, son of Imam Hossain of C/9 sub-block.

Armed Police Battalion (APBn) Additional Superintendent of Police (Media) Kamran Hossain said that 8-10 miscreants shot Syed Hossain and Abu Taleb at around 11:45pm on the hill slope of C-9 Block of the Camp 15.Syed Hossain succumbed to his injuries at Jamtoli MSF Hospital while Abu Taleb at Kutupalong Hospital, he said.

APBn official further said that police are trying to arrest the miscreants, adding that a process is underway to file a case in this regard at Ukhia Police Station.
