A decision has been taken in order to reduce 25 percent electricity consumption in all government departments.

The decision was taken at a meeting of senior secretaries of different ministries and departments at Prime Minister’s Office in the capital on Wednesday.

With Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus in the chair, the meeting was held in a bid to determine the effective course of action to save the government expenditure.

The meeting discussed how to implement the cost saving policy of the government in the wake of price hike of essentials including energy across the world.
