Another person, who sustained critical injures at Sitakunda’s BM container depot fire, died at Parkview Hospitlal in Chattogram on Sunday, taking the death toll to 48.

The deceased was identified as Kader.

Earlier in the day, a firefighter named Gausul Azam died at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

He was flown to Dhaka from Chattogram with 70 percent burns on his body.

According to fire service officials, at least 10 firefighters died in the fire so far.

The fire broke out at BM Container Depot in Kadamrasul area of the upazila on on June 4.
