Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub ul Alam Hanif  said on Friday politics of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)are now being destroyed due to continuous development works orchestrated by the government.

“BNP’s politics are not at all accepted by the people now owing to the continuous development programmes by the ruling Awami League-led government,” he said.

The ruling party leader made this comment replying to a query by the Journalists on contemporary political issues at his own residence at PTI road here this morning.

“BNP’s leaders are always making statements that the country is on the verge of ruining …But it’s going ahead in spite of their such anti-development statements against the government,” Hanif stated.

Even the BNP leaders along with Mirza Fakhrul are always giving anti- government statements which are nothing but resulting in frustrations from their political destruction, he added.

Criticizing BNP’s attitude, the ruling party leader said BNP has an attitude of making excuse to grip state power but the ruling Awami League had never made such excuse in the past.

Selim Altaf George, lawmaker for Kushtia 4 constituency, Kushtia district council administrator Rabiul Islam, District Awami League Joint General Secretary Sheikh Hasan Mehedi, Organising Secretary Mazharul Alam Suman and other party leaders, among others, attended during this time.

In 1996 and 2006, BNP had made various excuses to remain in power forcibly both that times but it was compelled to oust by furious movement staged by the mass people, Hanif mentioned.
