Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said the national council of the party will be held by December.
The premier came up with the information while speaking at a meeting of Awami League advisory council at Ganabhaban, the official residence of Prime Minister, on Wednesday.
At the beginning of the meeting, one minute silence was observed paying respects to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, national four leaders, martyrs of the August 15 and late advisory council members. At this time, prayers were offered for the salvation of all.
In her introductory speech, Sheikh Hasina said, “Declaring election pledges and forming government after winning elections, we do not forget our pledges. During the announcement of each budget, we consider that how much we achieved from our election pledges and the remains to be done.”
