A devastating fire that broke out at a plastic factory in Shaheed Nagar Bou Bazar area of capita’s Lalbagh on Friday noon was brought under control.

Rojina Akter, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence, said the fire originated around 12:06pm.

On information, twelve firefighting units rushed there 12:14pm and brought the fire under control around 1:35, she said.

However, the origin of the fire could not be known immediately and no causality has been reported so far, she added.
