The operations of passenger trains between India and Bangladesh may resume within this month as India has proposed to start it from March 26.
Indian Railway sent a letter in this regard on Wednesday.
Senior Information Officer of the Railway Ministry Shariful Alam confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
The Railway Ministry will hold a meeting in this regard on Sunday, he said.
Earlier, Bangladesh Railway (BR) sent a letter to India requesting them to resume the operations.
The operations of passenger trains between the two countries remained suspended since March 2020 amid Covid-19 outbreak.
