Shawdesh Desk: The Election Commission Secretariat is going to issue notice against a private airline company Regent Air for their inconvenient behavior towards Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukdar and his wife.

EC secretariat on Sunday has already ordered to engage an attorney from its lawyers’ panel to take legal action against the airlines company.

The Election Commission took this move after getting a written complaint from EC Mahbub Talukdar on July 2 seeking legal action against the authorities of Regent Airlines for their irregularities and inconvenient services.

Election Commissioner Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to media.

In his complaint to CEC KM Nurul Huda, EC Mahbub Talukder alleged that on June 27, the Regent Air authorities cheated him and his wife while they were traveling to Chattogram from Dhaka airport on its RX-0786 flight. The couple had Business Class tickets—1-A and 1-D, but Regent Air officials literally forced them to travel in Economy class showing any valid reason.

He mentioned that when they went to the Business class for their reserved seats they found that the whole class was filled up and their seats were occupied by another VIP couple. Then the flight crews took them to Economy class.

He also alleged that the air hostess on duty could not explain them the reasons for such irregularity.
