Shawdesh Desk: The acid attack on pilot Parvez Sanjari was conducted on the order of his former wife popular pop singer Mila, said the suspected attacker in police remand.

The acid attack suspect, Kim John Peter Halder, was a personal bodyguard of singer Mila told police during three-day remand that he was asked by Mila to attack on Parvez Sanjari with acid.

Kim John Peter was arrested on Wednesday last from the capital and was taken on 3-day remand by Detective Branch (DB) of police. He was produced before the court on Monday but he did not confess to court yet.

The investigating officer of this case told media that on May 25 afternoon, Mila and Peter planned to burn Parvez’s sexual limb with acid. As per plan Peter bought acid on that evening.

Later, on May 26 and 27, Kim was hanging outside Parvez’s Uttara sector 3 residence after Iftar to till 10pm in night but his was undone as Parvez did not come out of house.

On June 2 afternoon, Kim got the chance to attack on Parvez as he came out from his residence riding on motorbike for Pilot Club to watch World Cup match between Bangladesh and South Africa. Kim on a sudden threw acid targeting Parvez and fled the scene.

Parvez Sanjari was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) and admitted to burn unit of with burn injuries.

On June 5, Sanjari’s father SM Nasir Uddin filed a case with Uttara West Police Station suing singer Mila and her aide Peter Kim for the attack on his son.
