Pro-liberation White Panel has clinched a landslide victory in Dhaka Bar Association polls, bagging 17 posts including President as General Secretary.

White Panel candidate Mahbubur Rahman and Ferozur Rahman (Montu) were elected as President and General Secretary respectively.

Chief Election Commissioner and Former President of Dhaka Bar Association  Abdullah Abu declared the results today.

The other elected candidates of white panel are – Delwar Hossain Patwari (Senior Vice President), AKM Shafiqul Islam (Vice President), Mohammad Noor Hossain (Treasurer), Emanur Rahman (Senior Assistant General Secretary), Mohammad Abu Saeed Siddique (Assistant General Secretary), Taslima Yasmin Dipa (Cultural Affairs Secretary), Muhammad Arkan Mia (Office Secretary) and Moniruzzaman Khan (Sports Secretary).

Elected Members of White Panel are – Abu Sufian, Golam Imam Hossain, Imtiaz Mahmud Prince, Rakibul Islam Rakib, Samiul Islam Prince, Abul Bashar and Jahangir Alam Zahid.

Pro BNP-Jamaat Blue Panel won six posts that included Md Rafiqul Islam (Library Secretary) and Mosharraf Hossain Mollah (Social Welfare Secretary).

Elected Members of the Blue Panel are Faridul Hasan (Tushar), Faisal Kabir (Sourav), Mashiur Rahman (Manik) and Mozahidul Islam.

A total of 11,412 voters out of 19,847 exercised their franchise in the two-day polls started on Wednesday last.
