BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and his wife Rahat Ara Begum tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19).

Rahat Ara Begum got test results on Monday, said Sairul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP chairperson’s press wing.

Sources said that Mirza Fakhrul gave the sample for Covid test on Monday as he was suffering from mild cold for several days. The test result came out positive on Tuesday.

Both of them are currently in isolation at their home in Uttara of the capital.
