President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday morning extended heartiest congratulation to the national cricket team as they secured a thumping eight-wicket victory against New Zealand in their first Test at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.

In separate felicitation messages, the cricket-lover President, Prime Minister greeted all the players, coach and officials of the national cricket team as well as Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials concerned for beating New Zealand.

They expressed the hope that the winning spree of the Bangladesh cricket team would continue in future.

Bangladesh pulled off a crushing eight-wicket victory over world champions New Zealand at Mount Maunganui on Wednesday.
