Govt adopts ‘no vaccine, no service’ policy to check Covid-19 infection

Shawdesh Desk:

The government has adopted ‘no vaccine, no service’ policy in the wake of people’s reluctance to be inoculated against Covid-19, said Health Minister Zahid Maleque.

The health minister came up with this information after an inter-ministerial meeting relating to the issue on Tuesday.

Zahid Maleque said the government already administered the first dose of Covid vaccine to nearly 10 crore people and second dose to be applied to them, apart from bringing rest of the eligible people under the scheme.

“We are going to introduce ‘no vaccine, no service’ system because we found some people reluctant to receive the vaccine. Under the policy, people can’t avail themselves of any service without vaccination certificates. The country’s health authorities will send letter to district level officials across the country to follow this directive properly,” he added.

The health minister also has given directive to all concerned to maintain health guidelines strongly in all programmes including all types of social and religious functions across the country.
