German Press Agency DPA’s Bangladesh correspondent Nazrul Islam Mithu has been elected President of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) while daily Bangladesh Post’s special correspondent Nurul Islam Hasib general secretary.

They were came out to be victorious after counting of the votes held at the DRU premises in the capital for electing office bearers of the organisation of the journalists for the next one year.

Daily Sun journalist Md Solamain Salman has been elected member of the executive committee.
