Notre Dame College students blocked roads in Gulistan intersection Wednesday noon following death of their fellow Naeem Hasan, who was killed being hit by a waste-carrying vehicle of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) in capital’s Gulistan area.

The DSCC vehicle hit the student when he was crossing the road around 11:30am, Moudud Hawlader, officer-in-charge (OC) of Shahbagh Police Station, said.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 12:15pm, the OC added.

Police seized the vehicle and detained the driver after the incident.
