Vaccination of school students begins

Vaccination of school students began from this morning (Monday). The vaccine will be given to school and college students between the ages of 12 and 18.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni and Health Minister Zahid Malek inaugurated the vaccination program at 9:30 am in the capital’s Motijheel Ideal High School.

The vaccination campaign against Covid-19 has kicked off at 12 centers in Dhaka.

Some 40,000 students will be vaccinated every day under this campaign.

The school students will be vaccinated with US-made Pfizer vaccine as it is suitable for them, Health Minister said.

On October 14, some 112 students of four government schools in Manikganj were vaccinated with Pfizer jabs as part of a test run of the government for vaccinating school students against Covid-19.
