The salvage operation for Ro Ro ferry Shah Amanat, which was sunk at Paturia Ghat in Manikganj, started for the fourth day on Saturday morning.
The salvage operations began at 8.00am.
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority’s Joint Director for Aricha office Sanowar Hossain came up with this information, according to media report.
BIWTA’s RoRo ferry Shah Amanat capsized near Paturia’s 5th ferry terminal while preparing to dock on Wednesday morning.
The ferry was carrying 14 goods-laden trucks and four motorcycles at the time. So far, 12 vehicles have been recovered.
