UNHCR is extremely concerned by another violent attack in the Rohingya camps in Bangladesh.

In a statement on violent attack, the UNHCR on Friday saId this incident, which took place in the early morning of October 22, resulted in the deaths of at least seven Rohingyas and an unspecified number of injured, including children.

Those with injuries are currently receiving medical care.

“We once again urge the Bangladesh authorities to take immediate measures to improve the security in the refugee camps,” reads the statement.

The UNHCR called for the arrest and prosecution in accordance with the law of those responsible for instigating and committing these violent attacks.
