Trawlers capsize in Bay: 3 more bodies recovered, death toll now 4

Three more bodies, who went missing after two fishing trawlers capsized in the Bay of Bengal due to rough weather on Tuesday, have been recovered from the Bay of Bengal on Wednesday morning.

With this, taking the death toll in the trawlers capsize to four now.

The deceased were identified as Ibrahim, Monir and Sarwar.

 

Confirming the news, Golam Mostafa Chowdhury, President of Bangladesh Trawler Owners Association, said the bodies were recovered from Asharchar area of the bay this morning.

The trawlers had 24 fishermen on board when they sank at Office Kella of Dublar Char of Bagerhat district during a storm.

Later, the body of one fisherman was recovered.
